Contest Creation Workflow
This workflow outlines the complete process for organizers to create, configure, and publish a contest on TubeRaker. From initial setup through to going live, every step ensures contests are well-structured and participants are promptly notified.
Step-by-Step Explanation
Organizer Initiates
The contest organizer (any eligible user or admin) navigates to the contest creation page and launches the Create Contest wizard.
Set Title, Description & Rules
The organizer provides a compelling title, a detailed description explaining the contest theme, and a set of rules that all participants must follow.
Configure Categories & Prizes
One or more categories are defined (e.g., Best Comedy, Best Tutorial). Prizes are assigned per category, including badges, tokens, or featured placement.
Set Timeline
Critical dates are configured: the submission window open/close, the voting phase start/end, and the judging/deliberation period. This ensures a structured and fair contest lifecycle.
Set Entry Requirements
Define who can participate (e.g., minimum reputation level, account age), what content formats are accepted, and any file size or duration limits.
Review & Publish
The organizer reviews all settings in a summary view. If everything looks correct, they publish the contest. Otherwise, they can go back and edit any section.
Contest Goes Live
Once published, the contest appears on the platform, is listed in the contest directory, and becomes open for entries during the submission window.
Participants Notified
All eligible users receive notifications via email and in-app alerts about the new contest, including a link to view details and submit entries.
