Judging & Deliberation Workflow
After voting concludes, contests with a judging component enter the deliberation phase. Assigned judges evaluate entries against a structured rubric, discuss their assessments, build consensus, and determine final winners.
Step-by-Step Explanation
Admin Assigns Judges
Contest administrators select qualified judges based on expertise, reputation, and availability. Each contest typically has 3-5 judges for balanced deliberation.
Judges Receive Invitation
Selected judges receive an email and in-app notification with contest details, timeline, judging criteria, and a link to accept or decline the invitation.
Accept or Decline
Judges review the commitment and accept or decline. Declined invitations trigger automatic reassignment so the panel is always fully staffed.
Evaluate Entries on Rubric
Each judge independently reviews every entry, scoring them on predefined criteria such as creativity, production quality, originality, and audience engagement.
Individual Scores Submitted
Judges submit their scores privately. The system aggregates scores and identifies where judges agree and where there are significant discrepancies.
Deliberation Discussion
Judges enter a private discussion thread to talk through their evaluations, highlight exceptional entries, and address scoring differences.
Consensus Building
Through structured dialogue, judges work to resolve disagreements and converge on a final ranking that reflects the panel's collective judgment.
Final Rankings & Winners Announced
The agreed-upon rankings are locked and certified. Winners are announced on the platform with public notifications, and prizes are distributed accordingly.
